Aqua 2000 Water Softeners and Reverse Osmosis Systems

It has been long known that there is not one single filtration media that can remove everything form the water. A single media solution is not adequate in today's environment. More protection is needed. Single tank systems that mix various media together in a kind of "vegetable soup arrangement" are not only outdated, but also inadequate. The Platinum Plus is a multiple tank system that provides the homeowner with all the benefits of softened water, the added protection of chemical reduction and the ultimate in drinking water systems.

AQUA 2000 has met the need for more complete protection by designing a multiple tank system. This allows for proper servicing of the equipment and provides maximum water quality for the homeowner.

The Platinum Series is designed to accommodate larger homes and families with it's highly efficient one inch electronic control valves. Larger homes and families have higher water flow requirements and the Platinum Series delivers an ample supply of refined and conditioned water to the home to meet these needs.

The first passage of the tap water is through a media called KDF,
a high purity Copper/Zinc alloy.

KDF has the ability to:
• Kill algae and fungi
• Control bacteria growth, especially in carbon, making it last up to 15 times longer.
• Removes or reduces hydrogen sulfide, iron, lead, cadmium, aluminum, mercury, arsenic and other dissolved heavy metals. Remove or reduce Chlorine.

Then the water passes through 1.5 Cu.ft. of Activated Carbon.

Activated Carbon removes or reduces:
• Chlorine, MTBE, Benzene, PCB’s, Taste & Odors
• Trihalomathanes, like Chloroform
• Organic Compounds

The carbon and KDF are back-flushed every week to guarantee highest efficiency and protection. This tank is placed before the water softener unit, to protect the softening resins from chlorine break down and to give it a prolonged life and efficiency.

Finally the water passes through 1.5 Cu.ft. of high grade softening resin. The new Osmonics Valve assures the most efficient salt usage possible. The Osmonics Valve meets the new California State Law Efficiency Standards (SB 1006).

Healthy potassium pellets can be used instead of salt pellets.
