The Aqua 2000 Orion Advanced Five Special takes Reverse Osmosis into the 21st Century. This is a bold new concept, integrating designs and advanced media to produce the finest System in the market today.
We begin with a first stage filter that removes particles down to 5 microns. The second filter is a combination of copper-zinc alloy and carbon which protects the membrane, removes chlorine and helps prevent bacteria or algae growth. The third filter is a membrane manufactured to the most exacting standards in order to insure the highest levels of rejection possible. The fourth stage is a ceramic filter with a nominal rating of .96 microns and an absolute rating of .4 microns. The ceramic filter is placed in a specially designed housing that prevents any water from slipping past it.
The ceramic filter is placed as the fourth stage simply to back up the membrane should it at any time be compromised. The ceramic filter is effective against bacteria such as cryptosporidium and E-Coli. Finally, the water travels through a fifth filter which is composed of advanced activated carbon developed for use by NASA for space flights.
