It Began with a Vision
Historically, the origins of our company go back over two decades.

The founders of AQUA 2000 have a long history of designing and manufacturing water treatment equipment for residential as well as commercial and industrial use. Early on, they realized that advances in technology would be occurring at an incredible pace. As a result, when they formed AQUA 2000, they made a conscious decision to approach their business in an unusual way. Rather than manufacture water treatment systems that risked being obsolete the day they rolled off the production line, they decided to "assemble" their systems. To manufacture certain components, but to retain the flexibility to incorporate the newest technology as soon as it is available. In the language of modern management, they chose to be able to operate in a pro-active rather than reactive fashion. As a result they have now installed over 60,000 water treatment systems. Systems designed to deliver the purest water possible.

It Began in Space
Technologically, our origins go hack to Mercury, the first manned spacecraft. The physical limitations of space travel compelled NASA to develop a method to treat water on board the space craft. In fact, the treatment of water in space has been an evolving science. Because of our "assembly" approach, we have been able to discard out of date science, materials and designs. Instead, we are able to incorporate into our systems the most current thinking and technology available from NASA.

The Science Of Pure Water
Media, Multiple Tanks, Flow Rate, and Reverse Osmosis. When it comes to water treatment, these are the words that lead to water that is purer than most of us have ever experienced.

Media refers to the various filtering elements. Elements such as carbon, resin and copper zinc. Each of them is able to eliminate various impurities from your water. Multiple tanks are, of course, just that. Our systems isolate each individual filtering media in an individual tank. Systems that employ single tanks and, consequently, mix the media together have proven to be far less effective. It is that reality that led us to pioneer the development of multiple tanks. Flow rate refers to the fact that the water must flow through the different media at different rates for maximum effectiveness. Which is another reason why our systems employ multiple tanks.

Reverse Osmosis is a industry term for the most basic aspect of water treatment. If you think of water as "absorbing" other materials through a membrane, that would be osmosis. So we refer to the cleansing of the water of those materials as Reverse Osmosis.

This is the science our water systems are based upon. A science that is able to transform nature back to its purest state.

Combining Space Age Technology and Basic Know-How
Much of the science of water treatment today is a direct result from the lessons learned in space travel. For example, the ceramic magnet we now utilize was originally developed for NASA. One advantage to it is that it preserves the integrity of the media. However, the most significant development was the creation of a special compound for NASA that blends and modifies various types of granular activated carbons with other ingredients, both active and inert. The result is a highly efficient carbon filter that is able to eliminate a multiplicity of impurities. For maximum effectiveness, however, the water must flow through this filtering compound and each filtering media at a specific rate. Consequently, we have taken great pains in the design of our equipment. For example, the size and design of each of our valves has been thoroughly researched and tested. We even provide special gauges on certain systems that enable you to monitor your system's performance.

One of our water treatment systems incorporates additional filters. Filters that have been specifically designed to protect you from a variety of bacteria. At AQUA 2000, purity is our passion.

AQUA 2000 is indeed the whole-house solution. And our water treatment systems are designed to be as practical as they are beneficial. Since there is no need to treat the water you use on the lawn or to wash your car, it is not treated.
